1-on-1 nutrition coaching for weight loss

Nutrition coach for weight loss, in Vietnamese and English

A nutrition coach for weight loss helps you eat in a way that fits your life, then stays with you while you do it. Trần Thủy Tiên coaches clients across 6 countries, in Vietnamese or English, around the food they already buy. She is a coach, not a clinician, and none of this is medical advice.

The first consultation is free, and there is no obligation to continue.

Trần Thủy Tiên is not a doctor, a dietitian or a therapist. If you have a medical condition, your own clinician stays in charge of it.

What nutrition coaching includes

You pay once, after the free consultation. No monthly fee, nothing per session, and no extra cost if you need longer. The team stays with you until you reach the goal you set. Young Group does not publish the number, because the right plan is different for every person, though the nutrition coaching services themselves look the same in every case.

What you actually work on
How to build a plate from the food you already buy, how much of it, how to pair it, and what to do when you are eating out or eating with family.
How often you and your coach talk
Every day, by chat, plus scheduled video calls through the program.
How long it runs
Until you reach the goal you set at the start. Your coaching has no expiry date.
Format
Fully remote. Video calls and daily chat, nothing to attend in person.
Language
Vietnamese first, with English wherever you want it.
What is not included
No diagnosis, no prescription, no treatment for any medical condition, and no eating plan written for a diagnosis. That work belongs to your doctor or a registered dietitian.

The number itself depends on which plan fits you, so Tiên goes through it on the free consult once she knows what you need. There is no obligation to continue.

What does a nutrition coach for weight loss actually do?

A nutrition coach for weight loss works on how you eat, day to day, so that eating less does not have to mean eating food you do not want. The job is three things: understand what you eat now and why, help you change the part of it that is holding the weight, and check in often enough that the change survives a normal week.

That is the whole of it. A nutrition coach does not diagnose anything, does not prescribe anything, and does not treat any condition. What a coach adds is education, structure and accountability applied to food, by someone reading your week rather than a chart.

Which is why a weight loss nutrition coach earns their place on the ordinary days rather than the first one. Week one is rarely the problem. Week nine is, when the shopping is rushed, the family is eating something else, and nobody is watching closely enough to notice.

She is not a dietitian, and this is not clinical nutrition advice

Trần Thủy Tiên is a coach. She is not a doctor, a dietitian or a therapist, and neither is any Young Group coach. Her qualification is a published book and nearly ten years of coaching Vietnamese clients, not a nutrition or a medical credential, and it is better to say that here than to let you assume otherwise.

In practice that draws a hard line. Nothing here is an eating plan written for a condition. If you have been diagnosed with something, or you take medication that affects your weight, your own doctor stays in charge of it, and a registered dietitian is the right person for a medical eating plan. Tell your coach at the first consultation what your clinician has already told you, so the coaching is built around it rather than on top of it.

If what your situation needs is clinical care rather than coaching, we say so on the free call, not after you have paid.

What about rice, phở and bún?

They stay in. Rice, phở, bún and bánh mì sit inside the coaching rather than being exceptions you have to earn, and so does the family meal you were never realistically going to skip.

Most English-language programs are built around a Western plate, so the first thing they take away is the food you grew up on. That is usually why an eating plan lasts three weeks. Coaching in Vietnamese also removes the quieter problem, which is having to describe how your body feels in a language you think in second.

For what that looks like week to week, read how clients lose weight without giving up rice and phở.

What changes week to week when you hire a nutrition coach

You send photos of what you actually ate. Your coach reads them against the week you actually had, then changes one or two things rather than handing you another document. Over a month that is a long run of small corrections, and that is the part a file you download cannot do.

Which nutrition coach is the best one for you is mostly a question of fit: whether they eat the food you eat, speak the language you think in, and answer on the days it goes wrong. Ask that on the free call before you hire a nutrition coach, and ask it of us too.

How fast should the weight actually come off?

Nobody can tell you your rate before seeing how your body responds, and a coach who quotes you a number in the first conversation is guessing. What is worth knowing is which direction the evidence points.

People who lose weight at a gradual, steady pace, about 1 to 2 pounds a week, are more likely to keep it off than people who lose it faster.
US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Steps for Losing Weight, reviewed January 2025.

That is also why coaching here has no fixed end date. It continues until you reach the goal you set, rather than stopping on a date that suited the program.

How the coaching runs, from the first call

  1. The free consultation

A video call with the team. You go through what you eat now, your schedule, your health, and what has already failed. If coaching is not the right thing for your situation, we say so on this call.

  2. Your starting structure

Built after the consultation, around the food you can buy where you live, the hours you actually have, and how your body responds. It is guidance you apply, not a diet you are put on.

  3. Daily coaching

Your coach checks in every day. You send meal photos, they answer questions, and they catch small drift before it turns into a stalled month.

  4. Weekly adjustment

You report weight and measurements on schedule, and the guidance changes based on what those numbers do rather than on a template.

Message her directly. No form to fill in.

The first consultation is free, and there is no obligation to continue.

Trần Thủy Tiên, founder of Young Group

Who is the coach?

Trần Thủy Tiên founded Young Group and wrote the book Béo Ơi Vĩnh Biệt. She has coached more than 10,000 clients across 6 countries, and her Facebook community has more than 200,000 followers. She built the method every Young Group coach is trained on, and she still selects and trains each of them herself.

All of that is coaching experience. She holds no nutrition qualification and no medical one, nothing on this page is medical advice, and none of it replaces your own doctor.

The 10,000+ figure counts clients coached. It is not a success rate. Client figures come from Young Group’s own records and are shared with client consent. Results vary by person, and this is not medical advice.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a nutrition coach cost?

It depends on how long the program runs and how often we meet, so Young Group does not publish one figure. We go through the cost on the free consult, and there is no obligation to continue. There are no hidden fees and no pressure to decide on the call.

Do I get a meal plan?

Not in the sense of a diet written out and prescribed for you. What you get is guidance on building meals from the food you already buy, portions and pairings adjusted to how your body responds, and a coach who changes that guidance every week. An eating plan written for a diagnosed medical condition is a registered dietitian’s job, not a coach’s.

Do I have to give up rice?

No. Rice stays in, in an amount and a pairing built around how your body responds to it. Cutting out the food you grew up on is the most common reason an eating plan gets abandoned in week three.

Can a nutrition coach help if I have a medical condition?

Only alongside your own doctor, never instead of one. Young Group coaches do not diagnose, prescribe or treat anything, and coaching is not a substitute for care you are already receiving. Tell your coach at the first consultation what your clinician has said. If your situation needs clinical care rather than coaching, we will tell you on that call.

What is the difference between this and working with a dietitian?

A registered dietitian is a licensed professional who can work on nutrition for a diagnosed medical condition. A coach cannot, and this is coaching. If what you need is medical nutrition care, see a dietitian or ask your doctor for a referral. Some people do both, with the dietitian leading on anything clinical.

Can I work with a coach if I live outside the United States?

Yes. Young Group coaches clients in the US, Australia, Canada, Germany, the UK and Vietnam. Coaching is fully remote, and the food guidance is adapted to what you can actually buy where you live.

How soon will I see results?

It depends on your starting point, your health, and how closely you follow the guidance, so no honest coach will give you a date on the first call. The goal is a way of eating clear enough that you keep the result, not the fastest possible drop. Results vary by person, and this is not medical advice.

How does the money-back guarantee work?

Young Group refunds 100% of your tuition if you meet all of the program conditions together and still have not reached the minimum agreed result after 60 days. The conditions cover following the guidance for the full 60 days without adding other methods, submitting meal photos, reporting weight and measurements on schedule, attending at least 80% of coaching sessions, using the recommended products as directed, and disclosing any medical condition or medication that affects your weight.

The full list is on the Terms of Service page. It is a money-back guarantee, not a guarantee of results.

What a nutrition coach cannot do

A nutrition coach cannot diagnose you, cannot treat a condition, and cannot tell you to change anything your doctor has put you on. Any program that offers you those things is offering something a coach is not allowed to give.

A coach also cannot decide for you, and cannot make your body lose weight faster than it will. What changes is that you stop guessing about what to eat. Every week someone reads your numbers and adjusts the plan, instead of you working it out alone. That is honestly all this is.
